My name is Benjamin, but you can call me Ben, I am from the United Kingdom and have been teaching English for over 5 years, I have very little experience teaching children, most of my experience is in teaching adults. I am a positive and open-minded individual who likes to travel, make friends and interact with people from different cultures. From age 20 up until age 23 I lived in China and learned so much about another culture and its customs which really helped me mature as an adult.
From 2015 to 2018 I taught in China, which was a lot of fun! Whilst there I taught at 3 different universities, one specialized in finance, another specialized in the training of air crew such as stewards/stewardesses, pilots and engineers, my final school specialized in IELTS and for the 2 years I worked there I was preparing students for the IELTS examination so that they could move to a foreign country and study there. Since becoming a teacher, I have realized that it is a very rewarding career and the chance to help people achieve their goals/dreams is a very special thing to do.
I decided to become a teacher because I wanted a job that was more rewarding, not in terms of salary but in terms of a sense of achievement and the fact that I could make a positive difference to somebody else’s life.
