I have been teaching English as a Second Language for 8 years to all age groups — from kindergarten to professional adults. I am a perceptive and open-minded individual. I like dancing, hiking, cooking, travel, camping, reading and to interact with all kinds of people from different walks of life. 

I have had the opportunity to study a variety of subjects and practices. I enjoy ESL as it gives me the opportunity to work and learn about different cultures. Since I attended college, I've been interacting with people from different countries and realize that learning about other cultures and customs is a way of widening my horizons.

I matriculated from high school and went on to study for only one year for a degree in Surface Design as well as an online graphic design and illustration course. I have been instructing and teaching students for the past ten years, not only in English. I am a PADI Instructor and instruct students to SCUBA dive. I also worked at a preschool for three years before having a baby of my own.

I have now been teaching English online to non-native speakers since April 2011. I have completed an introduction to teaching English as a foreign language course. My experience working with students and people is very vast. I aim to provide the most relaxing and comfortable environment for my students to grow in by always being friendly, helpful, and encouraging.

I am a qualified Hairdresser. I passed the Caucasian hairdressing trade test in June 2018. I do hairdressing as a side line. It is more of a hobby. Hairdressing runs in my family. My mother is a hairdresser and so is my uncle.

My hobbies include traveling, watching television series, hairdressing, dog grooming, I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I have traveled and lived overseas before. I lived in the United Kingdom for several years and traveled in Europe.

I enjoy teaching and meeting new people from all over the world. I applaud my students for taking the time and making the effort to improve their English Language skills. My name is Patricia. I have a BA in French, although my first language is English. I know how hard it is to learn a language! I also have a CELTA certificate. I began teaching by accident. I substituted one day for a teacher friend and I knew this is what I had to do for my career. I have been teaching ESL for more than 20 years.

For many years, I worked in a program sponsored by the Canadian Government for immigrants moving to Canada. In this program I taught students of all levels as well as helping them with settlement issues. For 8 years I taught Academic Preparation for students wishing to attend university in Canada. In this program I taught Reading, Writing, Advanced Grammar and TOEFL writing. I use a learner-centered approach in my teaching.

I love to find out what interests my students have and what their objectives in learning English are. In my free time, I love to cook and I enjoy trying to make different foods from other cultures. I also love cats and gardening. I am looking forward to meeting you in my online classroom.

I studied Law at The University of Pretoria. Then I embarked on a career in the hospitality industry lasting 25 years. I worked all over the world in bars, restaurants, night clubs, hotels and cruise ships. I did extensive training with the staff that I managed, both hospitality training and in English training. My name is Jessica Hudson, but everyone calls me Jess or Jessie. I have a Matric certificate, a TEFL certificate, and currently I study psychology at a correspondence college. I decided to become an online English teacher because I love meeting new people and I like to help others achieve their goals. I was an English teacher for about a year and a half. Between the ages of twenty and twenty, I had a varied career; I was a waitress, a cashier, an administrator, a clerk, a secretary, and now I'm an online English teacher. When I teach on my lessons, I base my teaching methods on students. I like to know my students, so we communicate a lot in class. I am a very patient teacher with my students, and I like to communicate with them. There are several principles that I use in my work, namely, honesty, reliability, responsibility, creativity and efficiency.

When I don't work or study, I often watch movies or TV shows, read novels, listen to music, play with my dogs, go to a pub with friends or family, and enjoy light exercises.

My name is Louise and I've been teaching English since 2012. I have helped many of my students with their IELTS exams and to improve their fluency.
