Jean

My name is Jean but my friends call me Jeannie. I am originally from Zimbabwe but now I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I have been teaching English since 2009 but have always loved the language and studied it in college which is why teaching was the perfect profession for me. I have learnt a lot from my students who have come from all over the world, including South America, Asia, Africa and Europe. My hobbies include walking and running my dog, music, movies and socializing with friends.

I have taught English in classrooms, privately and online to all age groups from 10 – 60 year olds. I started teaching in classrooms to beginners and over the years I began to teach the upper levels, I mainly taught exam classes privately and found that I enjoyed working one on one with students as this gave them more individual attention. I like finding out about my students interests and needs therefore focusing the lessons around what they enjoy, after all learning English should be a fun, rewarding experience!

I am a very open minded individual and have had a lot of experience in various working environments which helps me identify with people from all walks of life. I love meeting new people and I will do my very best to help you achieve your goals.
