Throughout the noughties, I was an English Language school owner and director of studies.

I have a teaching license accredited by the Greek Ministry of Education and I’m CPE, TEFL and TESOL Certified.

I also hold a BA in Culture and Civilization and a Master’s Degree in Cultural Organizations Management.

I am a former private security specialist, and I also spent some time working in sales, as well as studying towards becoming a qualified IT hardware technician. 

I have been teaching English since October 2018. I love teaching new skills and find reward in seeing the progress my students make. My name is Patricia. I have a BA in French, although my first language is English. I know how hard it is to learn a language! I also have a CELTA certificate. I began teaching by accident. I substituted one day for a teacher friend and I knew this is what I had to do for my career. I have been teaching ESL for more than 20 years.

For many years, I worked in a program sponsored by the Canadian Government for immigrants moving to Canada. In this program I taught students of all levels as well as helping them with settlement issues. For 8 years I taught Academic Preparation for students wishing to attend university in Canada. In this program I taught Reading, Writing, Advanced Grammar and TOEFL writing. I use a learner-centered approach in my teaching.
