Temperament Types

There is a popular belief that people differ by their temperament types. Psychologists figure out four main character types: choleric, melancholic, phlegmatic and sanguine. What type of personality are you? Let's find out.

A sanguine person is very active, optimistic, risky and full of ideas. People of this kind can't stand boredom. They are adventure seekers. Besides, they are very creative and can become great artists.

A phlegmatic type of person is usually reliable, responsible and devoted. They prefer to live in harmony with themselves and with other people. They are care-taking and like monotonous work. They are diligent workaholics.

A choleric person is usually hot-tempered and very energetic. Sometimes they even can be aggressive. This type of personality tends to be courageous and stubborn.

Melancholics are soft and sensitive. Such people are mostly introverts. They dislike crowded places and noisy parties. At the same time, they can be very creative. These people have a colourful imagination and developed intuition.

To make comparative forms of adjectives (short form) we add -er to the adjective and use than to compare objects.

Example:

• Short — shorter.

  My hair is shorter than yours.

• Fast — faster.

  Cats are faster than mice.
