Robert

My name is Robert but everyone calls me Robbie. Having studied English in Johannesburg, I’ve taken my craft to countries all over the world. This includes Dubai, a melting pot of people and cultures, with experience ranging from bespoke children’s courses to speeches for some of Dubai’s leading CEOs.

I’m currently based in Sweden and now call it home. This love for teaching has allowed me to travel and work for the last seven years in some great cities for great companies, including Berlitz and Eton College while meeting extraordinary people along the way. My philosophy on teaching English is akin to a handyman’s toolbox. Every tool has a time and place to use it and I want to add as many to ‘your’ toolbox as we can, while teaching you when and where to use each one.

This philosophy builds confidence and trust in yourself and allows you to express yourself as easily, creatively, and professionally as you would in your mother tongue. I’m an avid sports fan and huge Liverpool supporter. Reading and continually improving is not just something I expect from my students but of myself.
